Stuart shared with us from the parable of the persistent widow found in Luke 18:1-8 and he challenged us to pray persistently and reminded us that God will answer those “which cry day and night unto him”.
Overview of James 1
We discussed how we must ‘look in the mirror’ (James 1:23-25) to see our state before God and to see how far we fall short of His glory (Romans 3:23). We looked at the example of Paul in Romans 7 and how, despite the life that he lived to serve the Lord, he still saw his great need for God and how corrupt and sinful he was.

Hannah brought to us an article that was entitled: Am I wasting my life? The article was responding to the following question: Can you give me some advice on how to use my time wisely? I’m doing lots of things, but I’m not feeling very satisfied with any of them. I feel awfully random and that I would like to do more with my life, but there seem to be no opportunities. How do you both determine how to best spend your time, and prioritize?

This Friday we are not having a family games night but are heading to Trench Health and Fitness for a boot camp. So we are meeting DCF at 7pm and returning at 10pm. Cost is $3.00. Hope you can all make it.

Prayer Sisters GALA Dinner

Prayer Sister GALA Dinner is on 2nd April 2011. 7pm at DCF, cost is $20.00. New ladies of all ages are welcome.
So what is a Prayer Sister work?
A Prayer sister is a faithful sister in Christ who prays and has the opportunity to meet with you and get to know you more.
At the beginning of each year an “about me” form is completed, which includes a section to choose ladies you would like to know better. Prayer sisters are matched and introduced. It is encouraged that you get together for coffee occasionally to share praise/prayer points, which can also be done via phone or email. It is a fantastic opportunity to get to know other ladies in our church and rejoice in the blessings of a Prayer Sisiter.
